Tameside College in Ashton-Under-Lyne Greater Manchester , is a diverse and vibrant further education college that offers a wide range of course including A level and advanced level vocational study programmes, Apprenticeships and adult courses up to degree Level. We aim to give all our students an exceptional experience.

We believe in excellence and we back that up with high expectations, a superb working environment (as part of the Vision Tameside £100 million+ accommodation strategy) and outstanding teaching. We also believe that attending college is about more than achieving a qualification, important though that is. This is why we aim to give learners every opportunity to develop their full potential in a supportive and friendly environment.

Tackling Inactivity Project

Tameside Colleges is launching a ‘Tackling Inactivity Project’ in conjunction with Sport England which is called ‘GO Tameside’. It will focus on increasing activity levels of all students, as figures show that you are less likely to be active if you are studying at college, compared to those studying at schools and universities.

There are currently 300,000 college students nationwide aged 16-19 that are currently inactive, with levels of activity declining when students transition from school to colleges. We at Tameside College aim to break this trend through the delivery of this new exciting project. By Joining us as the Tackling Inactivity Project Lead (Sport England), you will work within a hardworking team with high standards, be resilient, highly motivated and enthusiastic. Tameside College has an excellent reputation and this is a real opportunity for you to make a difference in people’s lives.

Come join us on our journey to outstanding!
