Joining us as Deputy Head of SEND Support, you will support the Head of SEND Support in delivering the college’s inclusion strategy while coordinating high-quality learning support across the college. You will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, ensuring that all learners with additional needs with or without an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) are fully supported to achieve their potential. You will lead on key areas including EHCP transition and specialist provision such as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to maintain effective, inclusive and high-quality support.

As an experienced SEND professional, you will lead and coordinate the Learning Support Service, ensuring effective staff deployment, strong partnership working and compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and Education Inspection Framework. You will manage Learning Support and High Needs funding, ensuring value for money while shaping staffing arrangements that maximise learner outcomes and access to excellent learning support.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative and motivated individual with strong SEND experience and a secure understanding of EHCP processes, funding and legislation as well as support functions. With the leadership skills to oversee services and initiatives, develop staff and drive continuous improvement, you will ensure high-quality, inclusive support that enables learners with diverse needs to achieve their full potential.
